if i were an apple
on top of an inclined crate

whom fell, a couple, times,
ouch, oh god i'm sorry,
ahh!, oops, ugh...

*, would you still pick me?

fear, mistakes, regrets, weaknesses,
false love-beliefs, ignorance,
arrogance, nightmares and all.

hi Ladybug, i have come here to ask
Nature some questions?

Oh?

yes. does It have time to talk?

Always.

well, you're a part of Nature right?

As much as I am my spots and wings!

ok, i guess i will ask you then.
does Nature have a prophecy?

No. It was both foretold and will be foretelling,
but it is best revealed now.

the young tree took to the
abandoned piano while

young dandelions pressed the pedals;

they played a song so serene

it made the rest of the forest
feel as though they were born

one minute from yesterday.

contrasting shadows move
as You move your head;

they boomerang around the side
of Your cheeks and nose

and envelope the whole of Your face
when a bashful smile forms---

table-eyes accompanying.
...then, You look up.

     a neon sign in this corner bar uncovers
     what it is You typically keep hidden.

     shadows in this corner bar cover
     what it is most people take from You.

     as long as the gas keeps fumigating
     its highlighter pink color,

     the more of You is revealed to me---
     the more of You i get to keep for myself.

chapel knees, but no church.
head bowed, but no prayer.

oral confession, but no priest.
tasting water, but no wine.

that is what my uncle did;

he saw the rain, walked outside,
knelt down in the wet grass

and forgave himself;

un-divine Divine intervention.

:::

just as i sober,
You come back and offer another cup

"i don't know if i should---" right up
to the crease in my lips;

Here, taste this.

happily just.
joyfully earned.

we are
deserved.

:::

the other day,
i saw a blue and yellow Orchid.

and i almost flew in,
head first.

keep Temperance unkempt
and one will lose his or her path

to fall leaves,
winter snow,
spring rain,
and summer weeds.

keep Temperance kempt
and one will find his or her path

to fall streams,
winter flow,
spring gain,
and summer dreams.
